Hollywood for the Holidays at the Winspear Centre
The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra brings you a star-studded lineup of music from the big screen, including Star Wars, The Sound of Music, Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast, and many more! IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships
For all the hockey lovers, the World Juniors are a tradition each year for many sports fans in Edmonton. From December 26, 2021, to January 5, 2022, Rogers Place is host to some of the best young talent on ice in the world. Team Canada meets the Czech Republic on Boxing Day at Rogers Place.

Holiday Light Up
Winston Churchill Square lights up the downtown core from now until January 2, 2022, with a massive tree decorated with hundreds of twinkling lights. On December 18th, make your way to the Square to enjoy live entertainment, art, movies, hot beverages, and maple taffy on sparkling snow. Take the family and loved ones to make great holiday memories in front of one of Edmonton’s traditional, massive holiday trees.
Power, Peace + Presence
While you’re at Winston Churchill Square, enjoy local art organized by The Works International Visual Arts Society. A beautiful, massive gateway arch currently welcomes you to the Square, created by Rebecca Pickard, a Métis mixed media artist and educator from amiskwaciy-wâskahikan in treaty 6 territory.
But these Square activities don’t stop with the daylight. From 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm, enjoy the live entertainment of DJs After Dark Party with DJ Creeasian, All About Light, and Hula Hoop Circus.
